this stay at home life.
Well, here we are: nap time. This is that sacred time of day when I try to accomplish 127 things in an unpredictable amount of time, dependent solely on the whims of a 6 month old (who, speaking of, seems to be waking at this very moment... *sigh*). To keep things spicy, I try to jazz up my nap time To Do list with a variety of activities: a chore here and there, some reading perhaps, a dive into whatever hobby I'm into this week, or-- if I'm feeling ambitious-- I might even try to watch a full episode of a favorite show.
So becausemy mom my thriving legion of followers are dying to know, here's a few things I'm into this week.
POSHMARK
Am I late to the party on this one? It seems like everyone I talk to about it-- and I talk to *everyone* about it-- has been using PoshMark for years now. But if you're like me and don't know, allow me to enlighten you:
PoshMark is an app designed to allow you to consign your clothes online (as well as buy other's consigned clothes). It's basically the love child of a consignment shop and a social media platform. I, for one, am selling my clothes-- when we relocated this summer, I was horrified by how many boxes upon boxes of clothing I had. But every time I would try to purge my closet, I could instantly envision each item's price tag. So I researched all kinds of different consignment options until finally a friend of mine suggested PoshMark. Now I've spent the last month laundering, ironing, and styling my well-loved clothes to take pictures of and post online. I've sold 15 items so far!
While it's nice to make a little room in my closet, this also make a little "mad money" for this stay-at-home-mom. Even a $6 sale is thrilling (does that make me sound pitiful? So be it).

Confession: motherhood is exhausting. For weeks and weeks, any down time I had was spent sleeping or, honestly, just staring into the abyss and enjoying the silence. Once I had recovered myself some, I started dove deep into a Netflix (or any streaming service, really) binge. I caught up on old favorites, watched season after season of my friends' various recommendations, and watched lots and lots of documentaries in an effort to convince myself that my time was being spent in an enriching manner.
But life is slightly more predictable now and I'm feeling more and more like a normal, functioning human being... one who doesn't spend any and all free time hob-knobbing with the Roosevelts (see: Ken Burns docs) or scanning the picturesque horizons of Planet Earth. And yeah, OKAY. Real Housewives. There. I said it. Iwatch watched a *lot* of Real Housewives.
So New Year, New Me. On New Year's Day, I challenged myself to read 20 books this year. And I'm happy to report, I've already read 13 of those!
Perhaps I'll use a later post to write a review or two of my favorites thus far.
So because

All of these get cropped prior to posting!

That's all for now, folks. I think I'm about to go research what this Wal-Mart Pick Up magic is all about...
